We create walker and wheelchair bags for the kūpuna community on Maui. This sewing initiative emerged from having extra fabrics from our fabric face mask initiative. We then reached out to the community to find out if there were any needs. Hale Makua Health Services came back to us suggesting walker bags. It became the perfect solution for making good use of the extra fabric and fulfilling a need in the community.
